“I still remember the first time I developed a black and white picture in the dark-room: the image suddenly appeared in front of my eyes. It was magic. The image was already there, latent, but I was not able to see it until some chemical process made it evident.
This concept is something that I find specially interesting in the photography; the capacity of showing something that is there, but we're not able to see.
We people have seen wonders only thanks to photography: distant galaxies and nebulas, also our own planet from far away; or the incredible world of monsters, captured by macro photography and other natural marvels.
This is one of the concepts I'm approaching with some of these pictures: to expose what is there, but invisible to our eyes without the help of photography. “
